Modul-AIR Software Changes November 2023

Summarising the major changes to the Modul-AIR software, launched in November 2023

Change 1 (Menu Structure)

The menu structure on the controller has been re-arranged. Certain screens have been brought forward from behind the login to give a better end user expierence.

Hot water set point, hot water timer, time/date and full system status are all now accessible without the need to login.

Change 2 (Default Parameters)

Default settings have been changed to best suit the typical UK & IE installation.

Change 3 (Fan)

Estimated air flow units (m3/h) have been removed and replaced with a fan percentage. The fan calibration process for commissioning has also been removed.

Change 4 (Hydraulic Commissioning)

A new hydraulic commissioning menu has been added to aid the installer when firing the system for the first time. Once selected it will  instantly run the back up heater at 3kW and the pump at 100%. This is to aid in balancing the radiators.

Change 5 (Thermostat Flame Symbol)

The flame symbol will now display on the thermostat similar to a conventional thermostat. Once there is a heat demand the flame will be displayed. Opentherm logic will overshoot the thermostat set point to ensure the desired temperature and comfort is maintained for longer. During this "overshoot" period the flame symbol will continue to be displayed. Note; There is a time at the end of the "overshoot" period, where the heat pump will be running without the flame symbol.
